Common questions

Here are a few things families usually want to know before getting in touch.

What age can my child start?

Our youngest program, Jitterbugs, is designed for two-year-olds. If your child has just turned two, they're ready to join. Beeboppers follows at age three, then Pianorama takes over from age four through to twelve.

Do children need any experience?

Not at all. Every program is built for beginners at that developmental stage. The ISM method starts from the very beginning, so your child doesn't need to know anything about music before their first class.

Are the classes really in groups?

Yes. Group learning is at the heart of what we do. Children learn alongside peers of the same age, which builds confidence, listening skills, and enthusiasm. Private tuition is available for adults and Pianorama graduates who want one-on-one time.

Do we need a piano at home?

For the toddler programs (Jitterbugs and Beeboppers), a piano at home isn't essential. For Pianorama, having access to a keyboard or piano at home will help your child practise between classes. We're happy to advise on what to look for when the time comes.

When do terms start?

Our terms follow the NSW school calendar. Contact us to find out when the next intake begins and whether places are available in the class that suits your child's age.

Can I sit in on a trial class?

We encourage it. Get in touch by phone or email and we'll arrange a time for you and your child to come along and see the studio, meet the teacher, and get a feel for the class before you commit.
